I Heart Market Street, Old Town Toronto’s cool new urban park, welcomes Market String Quartet and Friends to our street stage, located on the east side of Market Street between Front Street and The Esplanade.

Market String Quartet and Friends are a collective of musicians from two community orchestras: Corktown Chamber Orchestra and Counterpoint Community Orchestra. They came together during the pandemic lockdowns when all the music stopped and every venue shut down. Their love of music compelled them to take rehearsals and performances outside in 2020. They loved their connection to you, their audience, so much that they never stopped. Now, they are CCO2, a string ensemble that performs at the market most weekends, rain or shine.
