The formation of ‘Las Almas’ makes official their musical partnership! \nThe two met over 20 years ago at Toronto’s venerable Free Times Cafe\, and have consistently nurtured a deep friendship and appreciation for each others’ work. He encouraged her to begin writing in her native Spanish and produced three tracks on her debut recording (which included the first fruit of that labour\, ‘Mi Amor’); she has been an ongoing champion of his work\, has rescued songs from his repertoire he’d forgotten about\, and covered one of them on her 2nd CD.
