DESCRIPTION:Introducing the new rhythm-infused series of events set to enliven the heart of Toronto’s Old Town this summer 2024: SALSA ON MARKET STREET! TD Salsa in Toronto brings their crowd favourite non-stop street dancing to Market Street across three scintillating Sundays (June 30th\, July 28th\, and August 18th)\, where the historic St. Lawrence neighbourhood will pulsate with the irresistible energy of Latin dance and music. \n\nSCHEDULE for July 28th:\n \n\nFORRÓ PÉ DE SERRA\nPresented by St. Lawrence Market\n12pm-2pm\n\n\nSHUMDESALSA\n4-4:15pm | 5-5:15pm\n \nDailyn Martinez and Robert Brohman started Shumdesalsa in 2016 with the goal of spreading Cuban Casino (salsa) and Afro Cuban rhythms.  Born in Güines\, Cuba\, Dailyn graduated from the National School of Art and Variety\, renowned for developing Cuban artistic talent.  Later she danced for the internationally acclaimed Havana Nights performance group. \n\nTHE IMBAYAKUNAS\n4:15-5pm | 5:15-6pm\n\nThe Imbayakunas is a band with unique world music fusion that combines traditional Andean sounds with contemporary Latin rhythms. They have become well known for their musical mix of pan flutes\, guitar\, violin\, charango and drums with a wide repertoire of musical sounds spanning from traditional Andean San Juan’s to classics such as “Hotel California” by The Eagles.
