From Television Media to Jewellery. Meet Carey Pearson of Flux + Form Jewellery Studio

Carey Pearson is co-owner with Kim Drosdick & Suzanne Crudden of Flux + Form, a stunning storefront and studio in Old Town Toronto, established in 2007. Carey’s previous career in the Television Media Industry, while enjoyed, always lacked something. After discovering the world of jewellery design at George Brown College she was immediately smitten. She took a leap, left her career and enrolled in the GBC full time Jewellery Program.

Carey knew immediately that this was where she was meant to be and has never looked back. “The passion I feel when designing or producing a new piece is all consuming,” says Carey.

Carey’s designs are inspired by nature, its shapes and its romanticism. Carey specializes in custom design and works directly with her clients to create a piece that has special meaning and value to them. Every person has a beautiful story so her goal is making sure each piece tells that story.

Stop in at Flux + Form to meet Carey.

Changing Families

A family is a child’s first community. By chance, a baby is born into a group of related people that will define the early major aspects of their life.

Families can define our values, teach us about responsibility and nurturing, and protect us when we are still developing. But families can teach other lessons as well, about gender roles, power and vulnerability.

If your family is changing because of separation or divorce, and you need help through the transition, I offer comprehensive family mediation services that can help you respectfully resolve your parenting, support and property division issues. Call me, Anne Marie Predko, at (437) 887-0591 or visit me online at Round Table Mediation.

Provocative and touching play at Alumnae Theatre, Fri. Apr 17th – Sat. May 2nd, 2020

Alumnae Theatre is super excited to present In the Next Room (or the Vibrator Play) – opening April 17, 2020. This Insightful, fresh and funny play by Sarah Ruhl earned three Tony nominations in 2010.

Set in 1880, as the world begins to electrify, this sometimes laugh out loud play is as rich in thought as it is in feeling. In late 19th century America, an enterprising physician takes advantage Edison’s invention at the dawn of electricity to employ a new mechanism to ease female “hysteria.” Meanwhile, his devoted but desperately unhappy wife takes matters into her own hands leading to her own fulfillment and awakening. This, provocative and touching play, shocking and humorous as it is, tells a story of love and redemption with humour, compassion and enlightenment.
