Got a bored dog? We can fix that. Check out these unexpected spots to take your Dog in OTT.
Old Town Toronto has teamed up with Toronto Dog Moms to take you and your best friend on a walking adventure in your favourite neighbourhood. Check out some of the pet-friendly stops you may have missed in OTT and enrich your dog with new spots to explore.
Pet Cuisine
If you want your dog to feel like royalty (let’s face it, they already run the house) stop by Pet Cuisine for the full monarch treatment. Their rewards program gives you one point for every dollar spent, meaning you can receive $5, $20, or $30 off to spoil your pup. You can also get a free bag of food for every 12 bags purchased of your go-to brands. Fair warning: with a massive wall of toys, treats, and apparel it may be tough to get your pooch to leave! Unless you try to stick a new pair of winter booties on them. That may do the trick.

Wildlife Thrift Store
Wildlife Thrift Store first launched in Vancouver in 2001 when Karla Ahlqvist and her husband took over a struggling thrift shop housed in a former Model T Ford showroom built in 1917. Christening their new venture “Wildlife Thrift” in honour of the prior owners’ dedication to conservation, Karla and her family chose to direct donations in support of community members, focusing on those struggling with mental health, substance use, and poverty. Wildlife’s second location was opened in Toronto in 2022 on 62 Front St. East and fulfills the same ethos of compassion and community, donating a portion of all sales to Covenant House. In 2024, Wildlife Thrift donated over $164,000 to neighbourhood charities in Vancouver and Toronto. True to their name, Wildlife Thrift is welcoming of all four-legged friends (as long as they’re on a leash!) so swing by for a treasure hunt with your pooch soon!

Toronto’s First Post Office
Take a trip back in time at Toronto’s First Post Office, originally established in 1833 at 260 Adelaide Street E. The nearly two-century-old building operates as a working post office, museum, stationery shop, and education centre, providing weekly special events and activities that explore and celebrate the history of Toronto. In 1983 the building was renovated to replicate the look and feel of the post office when it first opened, meaning this is a must-stop spot for shutterbugs. Dogs are always welcome (they may even get a little treat).

EQ3 Furniture Store
If you’re looking to redecorate, Canadian-owned EQ3 on 222 King St. East offers stylish furniture and decor for a variety of budgets. Their specialty is made-to-order custom couches: choose your style, fabric, and hardware for a personalized sofa you and your pup will love to lounge on. Does your fur pal have a tendency to scratch up the furniture? They also provide upholstery fabric so you can give new life to old pieces. As a pet friendly shop you’re welcome to swing by with your dog to peruse their showroom and give Fido the chance to share their opinion on your design choices.
