I Heart Market Street, Old Town Toronto’s free urban park, welcomes Deppisch to our street stage, located on Market Street, just north of The Esplanade.

Artist Bio: Deppisch is a bedroom popstar producer and musician from the heart of the Canadian prairies. Futuristic yet grounded in jazz and funk fundamentals, his eclectic style takes elements of Bo En, Bruno Mars, and Tatsuro Yamashita and mashes them with 8-bit chiptune music. Through this musical amalgamation, his songs take a journey through his own emotional and mental state in hopes that by opening up about his anxieties and depressions listeners will feel heard and less alone.

His first solo album, CUTE (2020), is a love letter to electronic music artists like Snail’s House, Bo En and In Love With a Ghost while taking inspiration from video game music composers such as Koji Kondo, Jun Ishikawa, and Minako Adachi. “A mess of different styles and sounds…I don’t know what I’m listening to but it makes me feel good!” Adam and Rachel, 102.3 Now Radio.

Currently working on his next solo album in Toronto Canada, Deppisch continues to work and collaborate with multiple artists and performs with music ensembles across the country, taking his journey to brighter and happier places.
