Artist Bio: James Griffith is a multi-award winning Toronto-based jazz saxophonist, bandleader and composer. Winner of the 2024 International Saxophone Symposium Jazz Saxophone Competition, Griffith has had the pleasure of working and performing with national and international jazz icons such as Dayna Stephens, Terri Lyne Carrington, Dick Oatts, David Virelles, Kirk MacDonald, Mike Downes and more. Set to release his debut album in the fall of 2024, Griffith is also a highly in-demand side-person. He can be found regularly performing at historic Toronto venues such as the Canadian Opera Company, The Jazz Bistro, The Rex, The Pilot, The Emmet Ray and more.
