Artist Bio: James Griffith is a international-award winning Toronto-based jazz saxophonist, bandleader and composer. Winner of the 2024 International Saxophone Symposium Jazz Saxophone Competition, Griffith has had the pleasure of working and performing with national and international jazz icons such as Larnell Lewis, Terri Lyne Carrington, David Virelles, The U.S. Navy Commodores Big Band, Kirk MacDonald, Mike Downes and more. As a highly in-demand bandleader, composer and sideman, Griffith can be found regularly performing at historic Toronto venues such as the Canadian Opera Company, The Jazz Bistro, The Rex, The Pilot, The Emmet Ray and more.
