SQRA: Chromatic Collection
at Beauchamp Art Gallery

Beauchamp Art Gallery Presents Chromatic Collections by SQRA
Toronto, ON — Step into a vibrant world where timeless treasures burst into vivid, large-format artworks, illuminating the colorful tapestry of pop culture. Beauchamp Art Gallery is delighted to unveil Chromatic Collections, by SQRA (aka Cedric Sequerra) in Toronto from July 4th to July 14th, at 167 King Street East. Visitors will take a trip back in time through an exhibition that will transcend generations and showcase the beloved collectables of yesterday and today.

Chromatic Collections explores the aesthetic and nostalgic value of pop culture artifacts from the late 20th century through a series of brilliantly colored photographs. Visitors will experience a unique visual journey through curated images of books, magazines, VHS tapes, stereos, and more. His new subjects will include Bearbrick figurines, vintage boomboxes, F1 memorabilia, and rare book collections. For the first time, SQRA will present a collection of Time Magazine covers and a collection of retro TVs capturing iconic cultural moments on each screen.

“Each collection, with its distinctive narrative, serves as a wellspring of inspiration. Every image tells an intriguing story, and it’s this anecdotal aspect that continually captivates and fuels my artistic exploration. The art I create is a nod to the past. When people view my work, I want them to feel that sense of familiarity, like they’re strolling down memory lane.”

“We are thrilled to bring Chromatic Collections to our audience,” says Andrea Pearce, Director of Beauchamp Art Gallery, Toronto. “This exhibition not only revisits the pop artifacts that shaped our collective memories, but also showcases their influence on modern art and culture.”

Beauchamp Art Gallery invites all art enthusiasts and pop culture fans to explore the medley of colors and themes in Chromatic Collections. Visitors can meet the Montreal-based artist in the Beauchamp Art Gallery, located at 167 King Street East on Thursday July 4th for a V.I.P. night starting at 5p.m. and witness his latest unique photographic works that are sure to tap into the collectors’ mind.
