With a confident voice and boundless energy, 2020 Juno Award-winner and Métis singer-songwriter Celeigh Cardinal owns a stage, connecting deeply with her audience through humour, passion, and love. In 2018, Mohawk singer-songwriter Logan Staats was chosen from 10,000 hopeful contestants vying for a spot on musical competition show The Launch. Before an audience of 1.4 million viewers, he won, beginning the breakthrough that would lead him to Nashville and Los Angeles.
For their Toronto performance, Cardinal and Staats are each joined on stage by their respective bands.

“Dear Mom” Letter Writing Event
at Town of York Historical Society | Toronto’s First Post Office
Join Toronto’s First Post Office for one of two writing sessions on May 11th to learn the history behind Mother’s Day, and of course, write your letter to Mom as they would have in the 1830s, complete with a wax seal.
Younger participants will have the option to craft their own paper carnation flower, the official symbol of Mother’s Day, in lieu of writing a letter. In addition, copies of transcribed letters from our collection written from a mother to her son will be on display!
All ages are welcome. Pre-registration is required and spots are limited!
