Meet Thomas Comeau, a mountaineer and detective with the Toronto Police Service, poised to conquer new heights in support of first responder mental health. We’re thrilled to announce Thomas as our new ambassador of Altitude Athletic Training. Thomas’s journey embodies resilience, determination, and a steadfast commitment to championing mental wellness among frontline responders.
From his early days as a litigation lawyer to his career in law enforcement, Thomas’s path has been marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence and a deep-seated passion for adventure. Inspired by transformative experiences trekking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu and reaching Everest Base Camp, Thomas has set his sights on an unprecedented challenge: the double summit of Mount Lobuche (6,119m) and Ama Dablam (6,812m) in Nepal. Powered by a desire to raise awareness and funds for Toronto Beyond the Blue, Thomas’s ascent serves as a beacon of hope, inspiring others to confront their own mountains and navigate their mental health journeys with resilience and determination.
Thomas has been training with us here at Altitude for his climbing adventures, including a recent trip to Ecuador to climb Chimborazo (6,263 m). You can follow Thomas’s adventures on Altitude Athletic Training’s social media channels. Through his journey, Thomas aims to inspire more Torontonians to push their limits, embrace adventure, and pursue their dreams of climbing.
