Spiritleaf Artist Series Continues
May showers, plus the sunnier and warmer temperatures, brought May flowers to our ‘hood, including those in our store’s flower planters!
A big thank you for supporting our 2nd Art ‘n About* series. In addition to having the art work of World Salon’s very own Gary Allen on display for all of May, we had a very well-attended and highly successful “meet the artist” reception on May 15th. Again, thanks for supporting our local artists and for helping us to support them as well!
In June, our continuing “Art ‘n About*” series will feature another local artist – Hasti Rayramesh. Hasti is a Toronto-based painter, who was born and raised in Tehran. Hasti’s first artistic aspirations were shaped by her home country’s art and culture and she continues to be inspired by human emotions and the inherent struggles that result. While working with different media, including digital art, she predominantly creates using oil paints on canvas. Self-taught originally, Hastu later studied under Hooman Derakhshandeh. The goal of her work is giving her art the ability to tap in the viewers emotions and allow them to experience a sense empathy and understanding of what the painting is feeling, to achieve a personal level of connection with her viewers.
